I shop the markets every single day – each morning (way before sunrise!).
In my self-employed life, I often labor way past midnight and awaken in the very early dawn. Just like you, my eyes open on some mornings and I realize that sooner or later (and probably sooner!) I am going to have to get out of my oh-so-comfortable bed and get on with another day. Just like you, I sometimes think, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do it today. I am so tired.’
For several days, I had been fighting the germs threatening to invade my body and sap my physical strength. Some people said I was “catching a cold.” I wasn’t “catching” anything; I was resisting the negativity that so easily overtakes us, when and if we allow it.
Whenever symptoms show up on my body, I start looking for the questions they have come to ask. Because the germs focused on my throat, I spent a good deal of my quiet time pondering several questions: What am I saying? How am I using my voice? What am I putting in my mouth that does not need to be there? What is coming out of my mouth that is unnecessary and non-productive?
